1 2/3 cups (large can) undiluted Carnation Evaporated Milk
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup (6-ounce can) frozen lemonade

Chill Carnation in refrigerator tray until soft crystals form around edges of tray (about 20 to 25 minutes). Add lemon juice and whip until very stiff (about 2 minutes longer). Fold in granulated sugar and softened lemonade. Freeze in refrigerator tray until form, stirring occasionally. Makes 4 to 6 servings.

No, it's not stupid. It's just something that we don't really use much of or see anymore these days. A "refrigerator tray" used to be an enamel-coated pan (usually around 6 inches deep) that people would use to freeze homemade ice cream in or keep things in, in the refrigerator.

If you do decide to make this, you might want to consider moistening the bottom of your container to insure good contact and hasten freezing.
