Sausage Cake

1 lb. brown sugar
1 lb. bulk sausage
1 lb. box raisins
1 c water
2 eggs
3 c flour
2 t soda
1 t cinnamon
1/4 t nutmeg

Cream brown sugar and sausage. Add eggs, raisins. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with water. Bake in tube pan 350º for 75 minutes to 90 minutes. Serve with your favorite sauce.

Do they mean a dessert sauce? It could be tomato sauce? Aren’t cakes usually iced?
